Along with the rapid development of power industry, the protection plans for voltage levels of 110 kV and above have been fully developed. Using arc protection system, the time interval between arc fault and tripping can be less than 4 ms. It is much faster than the traditional relay protection equipment. The workers and equipment are not subject to the hazards of arc. Arc protection technology has been fully developed and successfully applied in the power field.
